Jason Pfaff offers over two decades of experience advising private and public companies, private sector education providers and private equity sponsors on strategic growth, innovation, operational performance, marketing and analytics.
Most recently, Jason has been highly engaged in the robust edtech and educational sector. He has operated in both in the M&A marketplace supporting a high volume of transactions on both the buy and sell sides, as well as helping companies bring to market new products, previously hidden revenue streams and services to monetize during this unprecedented sea change in the way we learn.
He has a proven record of driving results for private sector stakeholders through transforming operations and enhancing enterprise value and he leverages deep experience as an innovator, operations leader and chief marketing and product development officer to assist Advantary clients. He is well regarded as a catalyst for innovation and growth.
Pfaff’s career history is significant as he has served in executive roles at CDL.com, Ancora Education, University of Phoenix, Delta Career Education, Association for Talent Development, and Salem University. This provides him unique insights for private and public clients. Jason is available to serve clients globally and will also serve as an operating and/or interim executive with select clients in both growth and turnaround environments.
Jason was the founding Head of Business Development and Operations for Ancora Corporate Training, which was a spin off subsidiary of Ancora Education. As the visionary for the company, Jason was directly responsible for producing revenue generating strategies, ideas and products and successfully bringing them to market. These included the launch and successful early stage growth of new brands for the company including CDL.com and CLM, LLC.
Recently, Jason served as Head of Marketing for Salem University and Schiller International University where he was responsible for a complete overhaul of the digital strategy and branding while he executed lead generation globally for over 50 academic programs and 7 total institutions on multiple continents. A robust mix of analytics, mathematical models, innovation and user centric campaign design has enabled him to significantly reduce acquisition costs and improve performance by increasing inquiry volume and conversion in tandem.
Jason is a former entrepreneur and leverages many lessons he learned as a growth company founder and operator from his time launching Gaijin Sushi, LLC. With that new venture, he brought to market an innovative, breakthrough concept to capitalize on the sushi craze sweeping the US at the time.
Jason is a sought after speaker on marketing and innovation. Jason graduated from St. Gregory’s University with a degree in Letters and he also holds an MBA. He is able to statistically program in 6 computer languages, has authored a book on web development, is a former entrepreneur and candidate for statewide office. He is married and has four children. He is passionate about regional bbq, deep math, and is an Honorary Admiral in the Nebraska State Navy.
