Adam Marchick joins Advantary upon the successful acquisition of Alpine.AI by Headspace. Alpine.AI pioneered the voice-enabled path to purchase and helped make brands and retailers accessible and valuable in a voice-enabled world. Alpine had the privilege to serve Petco, Hearst, The Food Network, CNN, and other top-tier companies.
Prior to starting Alpine.AI, Adam was the co-founder and CEO of VoiceLabs. VoiceLabs became the #1 Voice Analytics product for Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Microsoft Cortana – serving over 3,700 Voice Apps and analyzing over 85M conversations across 16M consumers. Adam was early at Facebook (2008), then started Kahuna. Kahuna helped define the Mobile Marketing Automation market, raised $60M led by Sequoia Capital, and had the privilege to serve The New York Times, Yelp, Yahoo, DraftKings, Yummly, Overstock and hundreds of other market leaders as customers.
Adam was part of early technical teams for multiple start-ups and spent a few years building software for Oracle prior to Bain Capital Ventures and Menlo Ventures. As part of the Bain Capital Ventures team, he made technology investments across the United States at all stages. In early 2011, he returned to Palo Alto to help launch BCV’s West Coast office.
He left Venture Capital in 2012 to start companies and has recently returned to investing, with over 15 active personal investments.
On the non-profit side, Adam started and ran The Glow Foundation for the first two years, then transitioned to hyper-active Board Member. In a decade (2006-2015), GLOW served over 300,000 students with financial education and aid. GLOW was acquired by BUILD (www.build.org) to continue the mission of financial literacy and advocacy for the future of America.
