Carsten Holm is an entrepreneurial leader who helps companies and private equity investors to drive growth and to improve performance. Excited to commercialize offerings and to drive market success, Carsten is passionate about building, launching and scaling SaaS, software and cloud businesses. In addition, Carsten is helping traditional industries with digital business transformation creating new service and subscription-based revenue streams.
As Vice President, Carsten helped launch and grow Canopy Cloud, a start-up JV between EMC, VMware, and Atos focused on private cloud infrastructure and services from zero to approximately $300M.
Prior to Canopy Cloud, Carsten was a senior executive with SAP in various leadership roles including Product Marketing, SaaS Go-to-Market, Revenue Strategy & Pricing, and Sales & Marketing Operations for the global SAP portfolio with over $5 billion in annual license revenue. He launched the first ERP SaaS offering and transformed the go-to-market model to focus on customer success and renewals.
Prior to SAP, Carsten was a management consultant serving top-tier technology and private equity companies in Silicon Valley through Bain & Company. Carsten holds an MBA degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a Master’s Degree in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom and a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Technical University Berlin in Germany.
