Cindy Chen

Cindy Chen brings over a decade of expertise in cross-border venture investment, technology operations, and business development across the U.S. and Asia. During her career with various venture capital and corporate venture capital firms, she has deployed over $60 million in capital across nearly 30 deals. Cindy has worked with leading organizations such as JD.com, a publicly listed online retailer, and venture capital firms like Comet Labs and WI Harper Group, where she specialized in investments in semiconductors, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and intelligent manufacturing, among other sectors. Leveraging her extensive network across the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Asia and the U.S.—including startups, financial institutions, public companies, and government entities—Cindy has facilitated market entry for multiple portfolio companies into Asia and supported Asian corporations in expanding to the U.S. market.

As a founding member of an electronic manufacturing SaaS platform, Cindy successfully built and led the business development and marketing team. She spearheaded global marketing strategies, generating leads that expanded the client base from zero to 2,000 manufacturing clients across Japan, Korea, and Greater China. Combining hands-on entrepreneurial and venture investment experience with connections across diverse sectors, Cindy is committed to helping startups explore sales, funding, and growth opportunities.

Cindy holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Fudan University. As part of the inaugural cohort at the USC Neely Center for Ethical Leadership and Decision Making, she researched ethical venture investing in the tech sector, focusing on directing capital toward positive societal outcomes.
