David Cary
PARTNER
CAPITAL MARKETS, ESG and LATIN AMERICA
David Cary has over thirty-five years of accounting, finance, wealth management and capital markets experience. He began his career with an early-stage company, as the first full-time accounting employee of a computer software retailer which pioneered the computer superstore concept and eventually IPO’d.
The next thirty years were spent in financial services with one of the largest investment banks in the world, trading equities, futures and options. David then transitioned to assisting entrepreneurial families and C-level executives with wealth management and estate planning; building and exiting businesses; responsible management of philanthropic efforts; and creative strategies for blending the above for greater impact. As part of a private wealth team, David interacted with investment banking and corporate finance, providing him a rare view of capital and its evolution.
A visionary of what could be, and a team builder for what will be, David has already assembled two massive projects in his first year of “rewirement” from his previous career. He is now involved in multiple ventures, including real estate, hospitality, sports, agriculture, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, nearshoring and cause/impact consulting as it applies to improved profitability. With global connections in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, David also helps families and their businesses connect with opportunities across borders.
David graduated with an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.
