Kristin Speer

PARTNER, HUMAN CAPITAL

Kristin Speer is the Human Capital Partner of the Executive Capital practice at Advantary and specializes in Technology. She also leads our retained CxO, VP, and board searches focused on placing executives across all operational functions to scale technology companies in Fintech, Healthtech, and SaaS companies in B2B, B2B2C applications.


In addition, Kris is Managing Partner at Westwood & Wilshire, an executive search firm in Silicon Valley. She is also a board member of the HR Strategy Forum, oversees the Westwood & Wilshire search practice, and founded the firm’s Center for Organizational Excellence, AccelPeople™.


Before Westwood & Wilshire, Ms. Speer distinguished herself in Korn Ferry’s Global Technology Practice for six years and was promoted to Partner, followed by eight years as founder of Accelerated Search Partners. Before joining Korn Ferry, she co-founded and grew Claria Corporation, an innovative $10M staffing company for venture-backed startups. Her prior tech industry background includes nearly four years with Teknowledge, the first AI company to complete an IPO, and increasing management roles with groundbreaking software company Marketron.


Kris earned a double major bachelor’s degree (B.A.S.) from Stanford University in Environmental Earth Sciences and Music and was elected to the Stanford Cap & Gown Honorary Society. She was previously principal bassoonist, board chair with Redwood Symphony, and a competitive ballroom dancer.
