Olivier Leray

Olivier Leray has 18 years of experience, including 15 years of experience originating and structuring debt and equity schemes in the form of corporate debt and equity, commodity finance, asset-backed finance, and project & export finance (in Asia Pacific and the Americas region), as well as 3 years of fintech startup experience.

Previously, Olivier was a Managing Director at San Blas Securities, acting as a financial advisor and placement agent in relation to the arranging and placement of complex equity & debt structures in support of capex financing, greenfield assets funding, corporate acquisition financing, and general corporate purpose (covering the energy, natural resources, and infrastructure sectors mostly). Before that, Olivier spent three years developing a fintech startup (T-REX) offering a data analytics solution for lenders and investors to monitor the performance of a structured assets portfolio. Before that, Olivier was a Senior Director at HSBC where he successfully closed large project and export finance transactions in the energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure sectors focusing on greenfield assets. At HSBC, Olivier spent seven years in Hong Kong covering South-East Asia and then five years in New York covering North and Latin America.

Olivier started his career as a commodity banker at BNP Paribas covering Africa and the Middle East. Olivier has a Master of Finance from EDHEC Business School in France and speaks French, English, and Spanish fluently.
