Tim Kapp helps organizations translate business strategy into Digital Transformation strategies that increase revenue, improve customer retention, identify and maintain process improvements, and result in new data-drive products or services.

His multi-disciplinary experience in Predictive Analytics, Finance, Quantitative Marketing, and Software Development give him a unique ability to understand and align teams across organizational silos.


Tim’s has consulted with companies in industries ranging from Lodging and Entertainment to Technology and Communications. His unique specialization has been in the application of data to improve revenue operations (RevOps) for companies driven by subscription or recurring customer purchases. Notable clients include Disney, Blizzard Entertainment, Intercontinental Hotels, M1, Visa, Godaddy, and SCO.


In addition to his consulting work, Tim is a successful entrepreneur. He founded Arkona which sold separate divisions to Perfumania.com and DealerTrack in deals valued at more than $80M. This was followed by the sale of an AI-backed publication “The Job Opportunity Index” to Monster.com.


He co-founded Bayhill Capital, a microcap turn-around fund and consulting group, which led the restructuring of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), a project that received the Exemplary Change Management Practice Citation Award in 2004 from the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and was featured in the Harvard Business Review. His team also helped take SCO from $2 per share to over $20, in just six months, during a critical moment in the company’s history.


Tim is an adjunct professor of Predictive Analytics at the University of Utah Eccles School of Business. He supports multiple community and social causes including serving on advisory boards at Utah Valley University and was a founder of Bloom for Women (bloomforwomen.com), a digital community and online education center for women suffering from trauma. Tim completed his undergraduate work in economics at Brigham Young University, where he received the Presidential Scholarship, and received his MBA from the Marriott School of Business in Quantitative Analysis. Additionally, he holds certifications in various aspects of Machine Learning and Data Science from Eindhoven University of Technology, Stanford, and the University of Michigan.
