Matt Sherman

Matt Sherman is a Partner at Advantary Capital Partners focused on leading and syndicating private investment opportunities for Advantary’s portfolio. Matt also focuses on developing go-to-market and growth strategies for both Advantary’s portfolio companies and clients within Advantary’s Services Group. Matt has served as a strategic advisor to emerging growth companies and a venture partner with investment firms across the world.

Prior to Advantary, Matt led strategy, growth, and venture initiatives for TA Sports Ventures and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA). In these roles, he focused on innovation and driving value creation within the global sports, media, and entertainment ecosystem. In his role at the NBPA, Matt served as an advisor to current and former NBA players on collective economic and business growth opportunities.

Matt spent 10 years at Deloitte as a management consultant providing financial and strategic advisory to the firm’s largest clients across a wide range of industries while helping them navigate and execute complex global transactions. Matt also held the role of Chief of Staff focused on business and corporate development across all of the primary functions of the firm.

Matt began his career in investment banking and has a BS in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
