Thiago Silva has over 10 years of experience in finance, capital markets, and strategic planning, with a proven track record of driving innovative financial solutions and executing complex cross-border transactions. With CFO and senior-level roles across Brazil, Chile, Peru, and the United States, Thiago has led investments, debt structuring, and M&A transactions totaling over $150 million in sectors including real estate, education, and financial services.
At Delphos International, a U.S.-based financial advisory firm focused on emerging markets, Thiago played a key role on the execution team, supporting capital raising initiatives exceeding $500 million. He was responsible for analyzing debt and equity structures across projects in agriculture, infrastructure, renewable energy, and real estate, with transactions spanning multiple jurisdictions in Latam, Africa, and Asia.
As CFO of Creditu, a multinational fintech operating in four countries, Thiago led the company’s successful spinoff, established independent financial operations, and achieved break-even for the first time in its history. He secured and negotiated key funding lines.
Previously, as Head of Investments and Capital Markets at AVLA, Thiago managed a $280 million portfolio across four countries and executed high-impact transactions, including a $50 million social housing initiative with the Inter-American Development Bank and the first Brazilian mortgage-backed bond with an insurance layer ($17 million). He also structured innovative off-balance-sheet vehicles and helped launch international investment platforms.
Earlier in his career, Thiago served as Chief Financial Officer of Cultura Inglesa, Brazil’s leading education company, where he led a financial turnaround during the COVID-19 pandemic and facilitated the strategic sale of the core business. His background also includes private equity experience at Americas Trading Group and multiple roles in financial planning, M&A, and corporate strategy.
Thiago holds an MS in Applied Finance from The George Washington University, where he graduated with an academic excellence award, and a BA in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He is a CFA Level III candidate, having passed Levels I and II on his first attempt. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, Thiago thrives in multicultural environments and cross-border negotiations.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Thiago serves on the Fiscal Council of a Brazilian NGO focused on education and is an active angel investor. A former competitive rowing athlete, he brings discipline, resilience, and strategic leadership to every role.
